(MA - Part-I)

Journalistic Language (English, Urdu, Pashto) (Prof. Chand Rahman)

Main focus of this course is on basic writing for print and electronic media.

 Reporting (Theory & Practice) (Mr. Naeem Gul)Enables the students to learn the basic skills of reporting for different news and media organizations.

 Sub-Editing (Theory & Practice) (Mr. Gul Wahab / Inam ur Rahman)

This course enables the students to learn different techniques required for Sub-Editors in print and electronic news media.

 Media History& Laws (Mr. Faizullah Jan)

This course gives an account of evolution of press in the Indian subcontinent, the growth of Muslim Press and its role in the Independence Movement.

 Mass Communication Theory (Dr. Altafullah Khan)

The course focuses on various communication theories, its uses and application in research.

(MA- Part-II) :

Broadcasting in Pakistan (Theory & Practice)(Dr. Shahjehan Sayed)

This course includes the structure & policies of PBC & PTVC and also covers the techniques & presentation of different types of programs with practical exercises

Public Relations (Theory & Practice) & Advertising (Mr. Irfan Ashraf / Mr. Inam ur Rahman)

This course covers the importance of public relationing as well as advertising for an organization and also acquaints the students with the skills required for them.

Development Support Communication ((Dr. Altafullah Khan)

It focuses on improving the quality of life and boosting national economies through the use of mass media. It helps develop professional expertise with the aim to promoting economic and social development plans.

Pakistan Affairs (Current Affairs, Economic Affairs) (Mr. Irfan Ashraf / Mr. Inam ur Rahman)

This course discusses Pakistan Movement, national/international issues and also introduces different world organizations as well as Pakistan economy.

Communication Research Methods (Track-I) (Mr. Naeem Gul)

Main focus of this course is on learning different techniques for carrying out research on different aspects of mass communication phenomena at national and international levels.

Thesis (Track-I) Supervised by ((Dr. Altafullah Khan)

Students are required to write dissertation on selected topics pertaining to the main discipline of print, electronic, and digitalized media.

Feature, Column & Editorial Writing (Theory & Practice): ( Track-II) (Mr. Faizullah Jan)

This course covers background, policies, structure of editorial page, and different kinds of Feature, Column & Editorial writing and their techniques.

Internship (Track II)

The students are given option for internship in different media institutions/organizations.
