The staff in the department has not only contributed at the university level but has also contributed at the college level. The staff in the department has written books for the college students as text books.
Socio Economic impact of the Research Work:
For the development of science and technology in the country, progress in mathematical education and research serves as mile stone. Thus highly qualified manpower in the field is required for the promotion of science and technology in Pakistan. Due to mushrooming growth of the private sector universities and IT institutions in the country, the demand of such trained and highly qualified manpower in the field has increased manifold. The proper training of the students at all level will equip them with the most modern mathematical techniques to be used in other fields, hence enhancing their future employment prospects. To identify the areas where the expertise of such trained and highly qualified manpower is to be properly utilized, it is intended to promote university-market interaction in the field of mathematical sciences, through joint workshops, conferences and symposia. |
