  ADMISSION  

 

 The Islamia Collegiate School is open to the whole of North West Frontier Province, including the adjoining tribal areas. Admission is, therefore, highly selective and restricted. Preference is, however, given to the University employees sons and boarders.
  • a. As a general policy, admission is allowed only in 5 th class for which registration is usually done after 15 th of January every year. Maximum age limit is 11 years. Candidates are required to produce three photographs and a certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended showing his date of birth and class in which he was studying. Date of birth once recorded will not be changed.
  • b. A written test in maths, English and Urdu-cum-Islamiyat of the IV class standard is given to the registered candidates. Test is normally held at the end of March each year.
  • c. Final selection is made on the basis of merit. Which will be followed by interview not entitle a candidate to get himself admitted to the school.
  • d. Admission to K.G class is restricted to the sons of the resident employees of the three Universities. Certificates of employment and residence have to be produced.
  • e. Children seeking admission in K.G. Class should have learnt basic KALIMAT and be able to read Qaida Yassrnal Quran. The age of the child must not be less than 5 years on closing date fixed for registration. A photocopy of the form-B or Date of birth certificate by the University Medical Officer is to be produced.

 

 

Note:

  1. Admission to all other classes is closed.
  2. Hostel seats are not available or classes I-IV.
  3. Candidates missing the dates laid down for Registration and Entry Test are liable to forfeit their right to admission.

III) CURRICULUM AND TEXT-BOOKS:

  1. The school follows the National curriculum by using Text Books as recommended by Peshawar University School Curriculum Committee published by either NWFP or Punjab for SSC Examination of the BISE Peshawar.
  2. Medium of instruction is English and the prescribed text-books are supplemented by using other standard text-books. However, it is not applicable to the Urdu Medium Section of Islamia Collegiate School.
  3. Learning of Nazira of the Holy Quran is compulsory for all Muslim students.
