  POSITION HOLDERS IN SSC EXAMINATION IN BISE PESHAWAR  

 

   
 

Land Marks & Achievement:

1911: L and was purchased for the Darul-Uloom in 1911.

1912: Haji Sahib of Turangzai, laid the foundation stone of the mosque on 12 th March 1912.

1913: The School started functioning on 18the March 1913.

1936: Mr.Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the then president of All India Muslimleague, visited the Darul-Uloom and was granted life honorary membership of the Khyber Union of the Islamia College.

1937: The Founder Sahibzada Abdul Qayum passed away and was buried in Topi ( swabi)

1945: Mr.Muhammad Ali Jinnah again visited the Darul-Uloom and addressed the staff and students in famous star field of the School.

1948: As Governor General (Quaid-e-Azam) visited the Darul-Uloom and promised the establishment of Peshawar University.

1949: The Administrative Control of the Darul-Uloom was taken over by the Education Department (N.W.F.P).

1950: The University of Peshawar was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Liaqat Ali Khan.

1955: The Control and Administration of the School was transferred to University of Peshawar.

1955-56: Mr.Zahid-ul-Haq Quraishi topped the list of successful candidates in the matriculation examination.

1961-62: i) Mr.Ayatullah Ahmad Tayyab topped the list of successful candidates in the matriculation examination.

ii) Junior Cadet Corps won Common Wealth Earl Roberts Firing Trophy.

1962- 63: The School was bifurcated into two School English & Urdu .

1963-64: i) won district high school foot ball championship for three consecutive years.

ii) The School celebrated its Golden Jubilee alongwith Islamia College. The then President of Pakistan Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan was the Chief Guest.

1971-72: Khalid Mahmood of the School topped the list of successful candidates in the Middle Standard Examination 1971 in the whole of N.W.F.P.

1973-74: i) Monawar Ahmad of the School topped the list of successful candidates in Middle Standard Examination .1973.

ii) The School won Provincial Championship in Military Drill.

1978-79: unesco (Paris) awarded a Medal and a Certificate in recognition of the active participation of the School in the Associated School Project .

1980: To pay homage to the founder, Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayum Memorial Debates Competition started.

1981: The unesco Club got 1 st position in the National Convention of the Associated School Project.

1982: Mr.Ijaz Bhatti a student of the school got 1 st position in the speech contest held at Karachi under the All Pakistan Boy Scout Association.

ii) All the male teachers working in the Junior Section of the School were replaced by female teachers.

1983: i) Out of 112 students 111 got through in the SSC Examination. Three students got position on the Board’s Merit List. Mr.Khadim Shah obtained 3 rd position among the successful candidates in the Board Examination.

ii) In the Inter-Provincial Hockey Tournament three players of the school represented the N.W.F.P. and won medals.

1984: The N.W.F.P. Sports Board selected four boxers from the school who took part in the National Championship and got 2nd position.

1985: i) Prep. Section of the School started functioning in the residential area of Peshawar University.

ii) The School got 2 nd position in the 6 th National Convention of the Associated School Project.

1986: i) In the all Pakistan Athletics Championship for under-16, the school got 2 nd position.

ii) The School won Sethi Adul Ghafoor Memorial Trophy in the Debate held in Peshawar Model School.

iii) Two students got 1 st positions in Qirat and Naat Khawani, organized by Pakistan Broad-casting Corporation at the Abasin Arts Council.

1987: i) The School won Sethi Abdul Ghafoor Memorial Trophy in the Debate held in Peshawar Model School.

ii) Mr.Fawad Khalil, a students of 6 th class, got 1 st position in the Naat Khawani Competition in the National Seerat Conference held in Islamabad. He was awarded a gold medal with a number of cash prizes and honours.

iii) Funds amounting to rs.1,27,00,000/- were released by the Government for the construction of a Tribal Hostel for 250 students.

1988: Out of 171 students 170 got through in the S.S.C. Exam. 141 got 1sr division and 29 were placed in 2 nd division. 6 students got above 80% and 58 students above 70% marks.

1990: Mr.Kamran Ghani, 10 th class got a certificate and cash prize for wining 2 nd position in the National Science Posters Exhibition held jointly by the Inter-board Committee of Chairman and the Pakistan Science Foundation.

1991: 11 students of the school obtained position on the merit list of Peshawar Board S.S.SC Exam 1991. Mr.Abdul Majid & Mr.Ijaz Ahmad got 1 st & 2 nd position among the boys.

1993: i) Board of Trustees Darul-Uloom-i-Islamia Sarhad in its meeting held in November 1993 approved the scheme of construction of Sir Sahibzada Complex (Comprising a Multi Purpose Hall and three Laboratories) at an estimated cost of 18 million.

ii) Maj. Gen. (R) Khurshid Ali Khan Governor N.W.F.P. laid the foundation stone of Sir Sahibzada Complex on December 12, 1993.

1996: Sardar Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Uzair 2 nd & 4 th position in the Board’s merit list of the S.S.C. Exam .

1998: Lt. Gen (R) Muhammad Arif Bangash, Governor N.W.F.P. Inaugurated Sir Sahibzada Complex on April 27,1998. The construction was completed at a cost of 8.65 million rupees.

2002: i) Dr.Abdul Qadeer Khan, N.I.Bar & H.I. “The great hero of Pakistan” paid a visit to this historic institution on 30 th may 2002 and donated One Lac Rupees for the School Library.

ii) Foundation stone of six teacher houses was laid by (Late ) Pir Syed Mussrat Hussain Shah, Principal, Islamia College, Peshawar.

iii) Saeed Alam & Zafran Khattak stood 1 st & 2 nd among the boys in secondary school certificate in BISE, Peshawar and got 90% & 88% marks.

iv) 13 students of the school got merit scholarship out of 20 topped merit list in the secondary school certificate (A) exam 2002 on the whole 67 students got a-1 grade.

v) Mr.Ajmal Khan, Principal, Islamia College, Peshawar laid the foundation of the School Gate Way & Reception Room.

2003: i) Mubassarullah & Aamir Syed stood 1 st & 3 rd among the boys in secondary school certificate in BISE Peshawar and got 88.6% & 88% marks.

ii) 3 students of the school got merit scholarship of out of 20 topped merit list in the SSC (A) exam 2003. On the whole 69 students got A-1 grade.

2005: Prof.Dr.Nisar Muhammad Nisar, Principal, Islamia College, Peshawar laid the foundation stone of Sir Sahibzada Memorial Library and Computer Lab @ cost of Rs.5 million on 8 th august 2005 from Board of Trustees .

2006: i) Prof.Dr.Haroon Rashid, Vice-Chancellor, very kindly sanctioned a New Academic Block from the School Development Fund @ Rs.15 million.

ii) The Governor / Chancellor University of Peshawar, Mr.Khalil-ur-Rehman, HI(M)W.I.B, laid the foundation stone of New Academic Block of Sir Sahibzada Complex on 21 st March 2006 @ cost of Rs.15 million from the School Development Fund.
