The University of Peshawar is efficiently availing the opportunities provided and pursued by Higher Education Commission under the light of Physical and Technological Infrastructure Development as mentioned in Medium Term Development Framework 2005-2010. In this regard, University of Peshawar is actively participating in the following initiative of the Higher Education Commission:

Submission of “University Mega-Projects” containing all of the development activities envisaged by the University to complete over a period of five to seven years.
Pakistan Education and Research Network (PERN) providing the ideal platform to build an “internet compatible” truly high-speed network that will allow real-time transfer of audio and video, multimedia-enable lectures, remote research partnerships, and many other applications hitherto known.
The University Computerization and Networking Programme of the HEC to establish a computerized infrastructure to provide a modern and effective working environment. Through Local and Wide Area Networking systems, the project furnished the university with modern communications systems, supporting local intranet, Internet, and PERN accessibility.
The Digital Library Programme, which provides access to high-quality peer-reviewed international scientific informations (academic journals and scholarly publications) via online delivery.

All these efforts are aimed at upgrading and equipping the University of Peshawar with the required physical and technological infrastructure to support the conduct of high-quality education and research.

University of Peshawar has been closely collaborating with Higher Education Commission in preparation and submission of PC-1 reports of the perceived developmental projects to cater its academic and infrastructure needs. Our professionalism in this regard has enabled us to get approval of some of the landmark projects crucial to the existence and success of the University to achieve its primary objectives in line with the developmental priorities of the Higher Education Commission and University of Peshawar Vision Plan.
